CLASS DESCRIPTION
Integrate Graphic Components To Produce One Magnificent Picture.
Compositing doesn’t have to be complicated; with a few basic techniques, you may make minor photo defects disappear or set your subject in a fantastical setting. Fine art photographer Brooke Shaden will teach you how to enhance, or modify, your photographs with minimal effort by teaching you a method of compositing.
You can create a single image by composing visual elements from several sources. In Fine Art Compositing, Brooke will go over simple compositing techniques that are applicable to everyday photography, such as substituting a hand in a fashion shoot or an eye that blinks in a group photo. She will also demonstrate further artistic uses for compositing, such as how to produce the appearance of levitation and make a flowing outfit out of spare fabric. In addition, Brooke will talk about fine art compositing and how to make and sell composite photos that are wholly original even when stock parts are included.
Learn practical and creative compositing techniques from an accomplished artist in this workshop, which will help you produce photographs that are more polished and convincing.
BROOKE SHADEN
In her art, Brooke examines the contrast between the good and dark sides of human nature. She takes self-portraits and transforms into the figures in dreams that stem from her fearful and imaginative upbringing as a child. Brooke faces her worries and gains mastery over her darkness since she is both an actor and a creator.
After spending years in college studying films, she came to understand that everyone loved stories. In 2008, she took up photography because she was eager to work alone on projects and play lead roles. Brooke begins with a concept and frequently focuses on beauty and decay or death and rebirth.
She is ultimately more of a discovery than a creator. She pursues her interest to discover potential futures for her characters. According to Brooke, the capacity to transform one’s experiences, hopes, and concerns into a portrayal of one’s potential is the greatest gift that an artist can give.
Although she created the photographs from a place of personal discovery, her ultimate purpose in producing is to share a piece of herself with others. Both the artist and the viewer are reflected in work of art.
Storytelling is Brooke’s passion and her entire existence. She aspires to live a thousand lives in one, from writing and self-portraits to traveling the world and giving inspirational talks. She never stops being curious about really fascinating stories.
